From classrooms to the ocean: the Peques by the Sea project expands to new regions to inspire 3,500 schoolchildren

The objective of the initiative is to connect new generations to marine protection through science, emotion and direct action. The project is growing this year, reaching 50 schools in Asturias, Madrid and Barcelona.

A new wave of environmental awareness is beginning to sweep through classrooms. The Bluewave Alliance kicks off a new course of the educational project Kids by the Sea, an initiative that this year breaks geographical boundaries to take the message of marine conservation much further.

After the success of the previous edition, The project scales its impact with a clear objective: to reach more than 3,500 boys and girls across the country. This expansion represents a qualitative leap, integrating schools in Asturias, Madrid and Barcelona for the first time, bringing together a total of 50 schools committed to the health of our seas.

A commitment that crosses borders

Although the sea may seem far away in some of these regions, the project is based on a fundamental premise: the ocean is the planet's lung and its care belongs to all of us, regardless of the distance to the coast. Through dynamic talks, pedagogical materials and the experience of experts in the marine environment, students will discover how their daily actions influence the health of the “blue world”.

Training the Guardians of Tomorrow

With this deployment in three Autonomous Communities, the Bluewave Alliance reinforces its educational pillar, convinced that early awareness is the most effective tool for the long-term restoration of the Mediterranean and the rest of the seas and oceans.
