Bluewave Alliance hosts Summer School at Port Olímpic, Barcelona
In July 2025, Bluewave Alliance and the IED organized a Summer School focused on innovation, design, and branding at Barcelona's Port Olímpic. Students collaborated with the scientific project Observadores del Mar (Sea Observers), creating creative proposals to communicate the importance of protecting 30% of the ocean by 2030.

In July 2025, Bluewave Alliance, in collaboration with the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED), organized a Summer School at its headquarters in Port Olímpic, Barcelona. The program brought together students aged 20 to 30 to explore two key modules: Innovation and Future Thinking and Design and Branding.
As part of the workshop, students contributed to the communication strategy for the Observadores del Mar project of the Institute of Marine Sciences (ICM-CSIC). They developed creative approaches to highlight the urgent need to protect 30% of the ocean by 2030, a goal aligned with international marine conservation commitments.
The Summer School was held within the framework of IED’s Summer Courses, offered in English and Italian during June and July. These courses provide students with an enriching educational experience, allowing them to deepen their interests and gain skills in areas such as Design, Fashion, Visual Arts, and Communication. IED offers a wide variety of training, ranging from introductory to advanced programs, as well as Junior Summer Courses designed for high school students.
