We present the Bluewave Alliance at the 37th America's Cup

Bluewave Alliance presented its projects Waves of Tomorrow and SeaSpore at the America’s Cup Stage in Barcelona. The event focused on raising awareness in society about the need to conserve and protect the Mediterranean and restore its ecosystems.

Bluewave Alliance presented its awareness andoutreach projects at the America’s Cup Stage as part of the conferencesorganized by the Port of Barcelona. The event took place at Moll de la Fustawithin the America’s Cup Race Village.

During the presentation, Bluewave Alliance showcasedtwo of its most significant projects focused on raising awareness for therestoration of marine ecosystems.

The first, Waves of Tomorrow, is an audiovisualproject by Bluewave Alliance and Odicean that highlights the importance ofprotecting the Mediterranean. The series shows how Marine Protected Areas helprestore biodiversity, with the first episode exploring Illes Medes, asuccessful example of conservation aimed at inspiring future actions.

On the other hand, the SeaSpore project combinesscience, technology, and art to raise awareness about the preservation of seasand oceans through submerged calcium carbonate sculptures. With advancedtechnology, the biodiversity generated is monitored in real time. Surfacereplicas allow visitors to view their impact using an app.

The event also featured renowned marine conservationexperts, such as members of Barcelona Blue Tech Port, Ocean Ecostructures, andIED Barcelona, who gave talks on the current challenges facing theMediterranean, emphasizing the importance of global collaboration in oceanpreservation.

Bluewave Alliance's presentation at the 37thAmerica’s Cup served as a powerful reminder of the urgency to protect our seasand oceans, inspiring the audience to take action for change. The eventreinforced Bluewave Alliance's role in marine conservation, using the America’sCup platform to extend its sustainability message.
