Education in ‘Peques por el Mar’ schools
An educational project that aims to raise awareness among young children about the importance of conserving the ocean and its biodiversity. ‘Peques por el Mar’ (Kids for the Sea) is an educational project created with the aim of teaching and raising awareness among future generations from an early age about the importance of marine and environmental conservation. It educates children about the essential role of the ocean, its wonderful biodiversity and, above all, the threats it faces and our responsibility to act.
The early years of cognitive development are crucial for sowing the seeds of conservation and raising awareness among the youngest members of society, who will be responsible for swimming against the tide so that, together with so many other species, we can continue to coexist on the planet.
Sharing problems such as plastic waste, overfishing, noise pollution, ghost nets, poor tourism practices and climate change can familiarise and raise awareness among children about something that will accompany them throughout their lives: the need to take action against the current climate crisis.
