Bluewave Days 2026
The 3rd edition of Bluewave Days concluded with the participation of over 2,500 people and the collaboration of more than 79 organizations. More than 60 activities across the Mediterranean coastline allowed participants to experience the treasures of the Mediterranean firsthand, learn about the challenges our sea faces, and discover how they can contribute to its conservation.

These sessions were held to raise public awareness about the importance of caring for and protecting the Mediterranean Sea.

Bluewave Days 2023
First edition of the Bluewave Days held in Barcelona, an event to promote the protection and restoration of the Mediterranean Sea by joining forces with companies, entrepreneurs and scientists. The aim of the event was to raise public awareness of the importance of caring for and protecting the Mediterranean Sea.

The Bluewave Alliance's annual gala recognized the career paths of Àlex Aguilar, Josep Pascual, and Carlota Bruna for their exceptional contributions to protecting the Mediterranean. The awards celebrate the impact of interdisciplinary talent as an essential driver to reverse ocean degradation.

The Bluewave Symposium 2026 consolidates key solutions for Mediterranean restoration in Barcelona
The Port Olímpic hosted the fourth edition of this benchmark forum, bringing together the scientific, business, and activist communities. The gathering served to present the second episode of the docuseries "Waves of Tomorrow" and debate real solutions to climate challenges.

Mass cleanup during Bluewave Days in Barcelona removes 127 kg of waste through citizen action
Coinciding with World Oceans Day, the Bluewave Alliance highlights the results of the coastal and underwater cleanup held in the Catalan capital. More than a hundred volunteers demonstrated the power of social mobilization to restore the health of the Mediterranean coastline.

Felipe Costa’s "Colors for Corals" exhibition fills the Bluewave Alliance space in the Port Olímpic with life
The showcase blends contemporary artistic creation with direct ecological impact on the marine environment. The proceeds raised from the artwork sales are fully dedicated to funding the reef restoration project led by the Coral Soul organization in the Mediterranean.

“Behind the Blue”: The hidden wealth of the Mediterranean is revealed at the Bluewave Alliance space
The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the MARE initiative and the Marilles Foundation, brought together more than 30 works by professional and amateur photographers. Through the impact of visual arts, the showcase invited the public to discover and protect the most fragile underwater ecosystems in our environment.

Barcelona hosts the premiere of "Waves of Tomorrow": the docuseries giving a face to Mediterranean regeneration
The Paral·lel 62 hall hosted the premiere of the new episodes of this documentary project produced by the Bluewave Alliance and Odicean Expeditions. The work highlights the critical role of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) as havens for biodiversity and hope.

“Real Gold”: Juliana Plexxo’s art arrives at the Bluewave Alliance space
The artist and the Bluewave Alliance presented an exhibition that invites a reconnection with the essence of the oceans through contemporary art. The show, held at the organization's headquarters in the Port Olímpic, placed the value of marine ecosystems at the center of the cultural debate.

SeaWilding Conference 2025: Joining forces to restore 30% of the oceans by 2030
The SEAwilding Conference 2025 brought together researchers, experts and global leaders in Barcelona to transform knowledge into action. The Bluewave Alliance played an active role in this meeting, whose strategic goal is the restoration of 30% of our oceans by the year 2030, reaffirming the power of science and collaboration at the service of marine life.

Bluewave Days Celebrate Their 3rd Edition and Mobilize Thousands to Restore the Health of the Mediterranean
The Bluewave Alliance celebrates its annual event from May 30 to June 8, hosting over 60 activities along the Spanish coast to raise awareness about the need to protect the Mediterranean Sea.

Bluewave Alliance and We Are Water Foundation Join Forces for the Mediterranean
On March 22, World Water Day, Bluewave Alliance and the We Are Water Foundation organized a day of awareness and clean-up at Somorrostro Beach in Barcelona. With the participation of 25 volunteers, more than 15 kilos of plastic were removed from the coastline.

Bluewave Alliance presented the innovative SeaSpore project at an exclusive event at the Moco Museum, together with Lorenzo Quinn and Ocean Ecostructures. This project seeks to inspire to promote the restoration and protection of marine ecosystems.

Bluewave Alliance organizes the III Plogging Congress
Bluewave Alliance participated as an organizer in the III International Plogging Congress in Lloret de Mar, presenting marine conservation projects and promoting the connection between sports and sustainability. Over 200 people participated in the waste collection to protect the Mediterranean.

We present the Bluewave Alliance at the 37th America's Cup
Bluewave Alliance presented its projects Waves of Tomorrow and SeaSpore at the America’s Cup Stage in Barcelona. The event focused on raising awareness in society about the need to conserve and protect the Mediterranean and restore its ecosystems.

Bluewave Alliance and Studio 46 Present the Art Med Exhibition
Bluewave Alliance and Studio 46 present the Art Med exhibition to raise awareness about the conservation of the Mediterranean. The show, part of the 37th America’s Cup, features international artists and donates 10% of its sales to marine preservation projects.

Waves of Tomorrow presentation in Casa ISDIN
Bluewave Alliance presents the documentary series Waves of Tomorrow at Casa ISDIN to raise awareness about the protection of the Mediterranean. The sailing race simulator used by the New Zealand team for the 37th America's Cup was also inaugurated.

Successful second edition of Bluewave DAYS
The second edition of Bluewave Days, organized by the Bluewave Alliance, closed with the participation of 2,500 people and the collaboration of more than 50 organizations with a common goal: to raise public awareness of the need to restore the Mediterranean.

Enbluement 2024: opening new horizons with the ocean
Enbluement brought together ocean experts and enthusiasts such as Ona Carbonell and Anne-Marie Melster to explore its vital role, from outstanding keynotes to a sensory experience, raising awareness and calling to action for marine conservation.

We organized the "Enbluement" event as part of the Ocean Decade Conference 2024.
The event will offer valuable contributions to Ocean Decade Challenge 10: changing humanity's relationship with the ocean, helping to overcome those barriers to behavioral change that are necessary for meaningful change in humanity's relationship with the ocean.
