2024: A Year of Achievement to Protect Our Oceans

In 2024, Bluewave Alliance brought together more than 4,500 people at its events, removed 200 tons of plastic from the Mediterranean and launched the Waves of Tomorrow audiovisual project. In 2025, it will redouble its efforts with new projects and partners.

Bluewave Alliance says goodbye to a successful 2024 that reinforces its commitment to marine conservation. Among the most important milestones, the alliance organized key events such as the Bluewave DAYS, the “Art Med” exhibition and the International Plogging Congress, reaching more than 4,500 participants. In addition, he had a prominent presence in major international forums such as the Mobile World Congress, the UNESCO UN Ocean Decade Conference and the Smart City Expo World Congress.

In the area of environmental impact, together with Gravity Wave, more than 200 tons of plastic were removed from the Mediterranean. More than 30 species were also recovered in the Port of Barcelona in collaboration with Ocean Ecostructures and 7,550 m² of marine posidonia were planted with the Vellmari Association. In the audiovisual field, the release of the first episode of Waves of Tomorrow is close to 50,000 views on YouTube, raising awareness among thousands of people about the importance of protecting our oceans.

2025 is presented as a year full of challenges and new opportunities, with even more ambitious objectives for its ongoing projects, new initiatives led by dreamy allies and companies that join the movement. Bluewave Alliance will continue to work to be part of the solution to the problems of our seas and oceans.
